Straw Marquetry

Straw Marquetry Egg Czech Black & Straw color 1.5” x 2” Feels like it has a wax coating over to protect it but not sure. These were my great aunt’s and were kept in her glass curio. Amazing condition (see pics) Straw covered or decorated eggs are traditional in several countries; Lithuania, Latvia, Serbia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belarus and Ukraine, to mention a few, and are always admired, appreciated and treasured gifts.
