Beautiful Italian wall bracket / console shelf featuring a Baroque-style cherub (putto) head with wings beneath a molded top. Made of heavy gessoed plaster with hand-painted and gilded finish, this piece has gorgeous patina and detail. It likely dates from the late 1800s to early 1900s although we cannot confirm age. There is a chip on the tip of one of the wings as shown in photos. (See last photo for close up) Measures 6.5” x 8” x 5”.
