2 Egyptian Hippo Hippopotomus blue earthenware figurines BMPL & MMA William vtg
One is marked BMPL and was sold through the British Museum by Black Lane Pots. This one has an intended crackle glaze to appear very old. Crafted from glazed ceramic earthenware. Both are a replica of “William,” the iconic Egyptian faience hippopotamus statuette from the Middle Kingdom, featuring his signature blue glaze and lotus plant decoration.
