Has a faint impressed mark on the base that I cannot mark out. Made by one of the German Thurinigian factories between 1880 and 1920.

The Hairdresser & Courting Couple. The only noted issue is the small area of paint loss on the right elbow of the gentleman in the courting couple. A graceful lady seated at a period clavichord while a gentleman in a bright yellow coat leans in attentively, creating an elegant musical scene.

The boar’s head, long associated with gluttony, stubbornness, and brute privilege, creates a sharp visual contrast: a critique of aristocratic pretension and affectation very much in keeping with Georgian satirical culture.
