there is glue residue on the staff tip and some on the coat. I think it came this way and just gotten darker as this piece has aged. The maker is from New Hope Virginia. She uses clay and a matrix which produces this cloth clay sculpture. No chips and signed on inside . Weighs over 6 pounds
