Handsomely dressed in Edwardian clothes, his overcoat is brown, his clothes maroon and lace trimmed; the gentleman has handpainted cuffs and an applied porcelain lace ascot with blue bow. Applied leaves are on his hat as well as the back and base of the sculpture. On the bottom of the piece is the Cordey signature engraved beneath the glaze, is Cordey, the number 4072,and blue inked number 4076.
