Art Metal Sculpture

This decorative sculpture is identified as the Zagiri Sculpture by Uttermost. It is a contemporary, abstract piece designed in a Brutalist style, characterized by its complex web of intersecting lines and raw industrial feel (see photos). The sculpture is crafted from aged iron featuring bright gold leaf accents. The sculpture sits on a rectangular base with an oxidized copper finish. The sculpture’s open-form and architectonic structure is heavily influenced by the works of Mid-Century Modernist sculptors like Ibram Lassaw, who pioneered similar welding techniques using wire armatures and encrusted metal droplets (see photos). This sculpture has a great Modernist style. The item measures in total about 15.5 inches high, and it measures almost 23.25 inches wide. The sculpture is not marked by the maker.
